i played all day and into the night tonight and have hardly cashed in a game which really sucks coming off the high from last night. im analyzing my play and i know there have been a few mistakes, but mostly, im just getting sucked out on.

for instance - flop top two pair with a9. person to my right min bets for 150, i raise to 300. get bet into for 150 on turn and raise 4 times their bet to 600. the turn gives a straight and flush draw and i want them out. river comes a 10. player bets minimum again for third time. this time i smooth call. player had a10 for two pair on river. at least i was raising while i was ahead and stopped when i was behind.

or how about this one. i have pocket 99 with a medium sized stack of chips. one player makes a min raise in front of me and another smooth calls, so i go all in to isolate one of the players. one person behind me calls with kj, original raiser calls with aj and original caller calls with kq. how can i get into a 4 way pot - ahead no less - when they each have the others outs and lose to a jack on the turn.

or theres this one .... pocket 77. two limpers in front of me, so i raise the blind 5x the size of the blind. both come along. flop is 8h 4h 2c. 1st limper bets 60, second limper calls and i raise all in to get them off their draws. both call. 1st has 75h the other is aqh. i fade the hearts, but the river is a 6c, and the guy with the 75 who was behind both of the other of us gets the whole pot with the suck out straight.

or when i raised with pocket AA only to be reraised all in by someone with QQ who hit a q on the turn

the only thing that is keeping me sane right now is that i know the other players are making mistakes and next time it should fall my way. don't get me wrong bad beats are part of the game, but usually in the mid stages - people are still able to lay down their hands. i myself have sucked out on people too, so no one is immune, it just seemed a lot today.

ok enuf bad beat stories.

i just won a tourney with pocket AA after being really shortstacked, and i put a couple of bad beats on folks myself yo get there.

on the plus side, i saw two people get royal flushes today. both were very improbable - but hey it happens.
